What is Conscious Connected Breathwork — and why should you try it?
The first time I tried conscious connected breathwork, I was blown away. I felt a release like nothing else I had ever experienced — and it sparked something in me. A fascination with the breath, with what it holds, with what becomes possible when we learn to work with it. I knew straight away this was something I needed to share
Conscious connected breathwork is different to the breathing we do every day without thinking. It's a specific pattern — a continuous, connected breath with no pause between the inhale and the exhale — that allows the body to drop into a different state. Not sleep. Not meditation exactly. Something harder to describe, and easier to just experience.
In that state, something shifts. Stress that has been sitting quietly in the body starts to move. Emotions that have been waiting for space finally find it. People release things they didn't even know they were carrying. And most people walk out feeling extraordinary — lighter, clearer, more themselves.
I was blown away the first time. The release I felt was like nothing else I had experienced. It was, for me, another way home to myself.
So what actually happens in a session?
A session with me lasts around two hours and is held in a small, carefully contained space, either 1:1 or in a small group. I guide you through the breathing pattern, and I'm with you the whole time, and there’s plenty of time to integrate your experience. There's music, there's support, and there's no pressure to have any particular experience. Whatever comes up is welcome.
It's not painful. It's not frightening. Most people are surprised by how quickly the time passes, and by how they feel when it's over.
Why Atma Breath?
I trained with Atma Breath out in India, a trauma informed training that shaped not just how I facilitate, but how I hold space. The training was an immersive 3 week training, with 6 months online afterwards. It was an incredible experience, one that changed me. Trauma informed means I understand that the body carries history, and that safety is everything. Nothing is forced. Everything is at your pace.
Why should you try it?
We live in a world that gives us very few genuine opportunities to truly release. We talk, we exercise, we scroll, we sleep, and still something remains, our body is holding on to it. Breathwork gets underneath all of that. It works directly with the nervous system, creating the kind of regulation and relief that can be hard to find any other way.
In a single session you can shift anxiety and suppressed emotions that has been sitting with you for months. You can find a stillness and clarity that surprises you. You can feel alive in a way that reminds you what that actually means.
I offer breathwork because I believe in it completely - it has changed my life and I have seen it change others.
If you're curious, I'd love you to try it. I have an introductory offer running until 15th May - €60 for a full session, normally €120.
Come and breathe with me.
